From materials to care – a few things you might want to know.
Material & Manufacturing
Our ANIS candleholders are 3D-printed using PLA – a bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch and lactic acid. To give each piece extra weight and stability, we fill it with fine sand. This makes it feel more substantial and helps it stand firmly in place – even in taller combinations.
Each element is printed to order in our studio in Bochum – combining precision, craft, and sustainable thinking.
Use & Safety
To enjoy your ANIS safely, always use the included metal cup. It protects the material from the heat of the flame. Be sure to blow out the candle before it burns down to the lower edge of the holder – this helps prevent damage and keeps your candleholder looking great for a long time.
Heat & Environment
PLA is a natural material – and while that’s great for the environment, it means ANIS doesn’t like heat. Avoid placing it on radiators, in direct sunlight for long periods, or too close to open flames. High temperatures can cause it to soften or warp.
Treat it like a design object, not like a heat-proof accessory.
Cleaning & Care
Dust can be gently wiped off with a damp cloth – no harsh cleaners needed.
Got candle wax on it? No worries: just place the part in the freezer for a little while, and the wax will peel right off.
Simple, low-maintenance, and made to last.
Recycling & Return
If you ever decide to part ways with your ANIS candleholder, we’d be happy to take it back. We recycle unused PLA and production leftovers into new filament – helping us close the loop and reduce waste.
Just drop us a message, and we’ll guide you through the return.
